Everyone’s favorite rides are back, including the nausea-inducing Zipper, the spinning Tilt-A-Whirl, the flying Paraglide, and the rocking-boat Pharaoh. On the menu are your usual carnival basics, including hot dogs, sausages, fried dough, and cotton candy.
The annual carnival is run as a fundraiser by the Wakefield Independence Day Committee to help support Wakefield’s 4th of July parade. All costs related to the parade, which brings in upwards of 100,000 people each year, are raised through the Independence Day Committee.
Please remember those working the ticket booths are volunteers for the parade and are in no way associated with the carnival company.
